Flexible Mica Plate is an excellent meduim for heat resistance and insulation. It remains permanently flexible even at room temperature. The plate consists of 90% Muscovite (or Phlogopite) and 10% high temperature resistant silicone resin.
When using as protection for batteries, two different types of Flexible Mica Plate are available:
- Muscovite Flexible Mica Plate, which is silver in color and can sustain conditions up to 500°C in constant operation and up to 750°C in intermittant operation.
- Phlogopite Flexible Mica Plate, which is golden/amber in color and can sustain conditions up to 750°C in constant operation and 1000°C in intermittant operation.
